## Teaching & building

I’ve always enjoyed teaching, creating, and solving problems. I spent 10 years designing curriculum and teaching higher education courses in front-end development and design, motion design, 3D modeling, animation, and video production in the Madison, WI area.
During that time, I also worked across film and video production, web development, IT, and marketing. I wore a lot of hats, from shooting and editing commercial work to building streaming systems for online courses, developing websites, managing Linux servers, supporting hundreds of Macs, and helping marketing and production teams make better use of technology.

For the past 10 years, I’ve focused primarily on corporate IT and software engineering, designing, building, and supporting applications and systems that solve real-world business problems. I still enjoy the same mix of creativity, technology, and problem-solving that originally drew me to teaching and production. Outside of work, I enjoy writing music, getting outdoors, and hiking with my dog.
